Jon Kingston

Jon Kingston is a broadcast-focused journalist interested in working in the sports media profession. Kingston has experience writing, shooting and producing packages, interviewing athletes, and working in a professional media environment.

Kingston is enrolled as a junior in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, double-majoring in broadcast journalism and film and media production.

A Chicago, Illinois native, Kingston graduated high school at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona with honors. His interests include everything sports: reporting, watching, and participating, as well working with music and video.

For the last two years Kingston has interned for Devilsdigest.com, doing interviews, writing stories, and interacting with the athletes of the Arizona State football and basketball teams. Kingston has also shot and produced video packages on sports, news, as well as features.

Upon graduating, Kingston hopes to get a job in sports broadcasting that will eventually lead him to a job as on screen talent covering sporting events.
